Everland is one of the top amusement parks in the world and the most visited place in South Korea, attracting yearly over 7 million visitors. Located in the suburbs of Seoul, Everland is a kingdom of its own. It is not just another park with several roller coasters and ghost houses, but a huge self-sustaining system with hotels, restaurants, shops, safari parks, panda land, water park and a variety of gardens. In 2016, Everland celebrated its 40th anniversary and a 200-million-visitor milestone. With the bright decorations and amazing festive events, it is undeniable that the vision of its founder, Mr. Lee Byung-cheol, to “Create a place like Disneyland, where children can enjoy the nature and pursue their dreams”, has been indeed achieved. While Everland features some of the biggest roller coasters in Asia, it is especially suitable for families with children and romantic dates. Younger visitors will be delighted to try rainbow-colored candies, wear fluffy animal hats, explore Zootopia Safari Park in Jurassic Park-style buses and get spooked in the mystery houses. Couples can stroll along beautiful alleys and gardens of the park, share rides and make romantic photos to save the precious memories. The main peculiarity of Everland is that, unlike Universal Studios or Disneyland, it does not limit itself to only one theme. The park is divided into five areas, each with its own story: nature-oriented Zootopia, international Global Village, European Adventure with its Versailles-style gardens and an Alpine Village, Magic Land with Aesop Village based entirely on the famous fables, and American Adventure with rock music and rodeos. Each area has its own mission and atmosphere, and it will take a whole full day to experience all of them.
